About the GMAT

Admissions decisions at the best graduate business schools are based upon many factors, one of which is the score you receive on the GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test). It has been noted that taking this exam and excelling signifies a strong interest in business education that puts you ahead of others being considered for admission. Click here for a list of schools that accept GMAT exam scores and here to register. You will have 3.5 hours to complete this test. The test comes in four sections:

  • Analytical Writing Assessment – 1 Topic
  • Verbal – 41 Questions
  • Quantitative – 37 Questions
  • Integrated Reasoning – 12 Questions

The analytical writing section will measure your ability to think critically and communicate your assessments. The verbal section will measure your competency reading and understanding written material and editing, from sentence correction to critical reasoning. The quantitative questions assess your ability to draw conclusions from data. Integrated reasoning involves your competency in evaluating information from multiple different sources and technological presentations, from table analysis to graphics interpretation.
